One day. Two experts. A proper untangling of your business.

Does your business ever feel a little bit... tangled?

Not broken. Not failing. Just tangled?

The way a good idea, then ten more ideas, a system you built at 11pm three years ago, and a process that only exists in your head all get knotted together, until you can’t quite see where one thing ends and the next begins.

Too many priorities competing for your attention. An offer you’ve outgrown. Something that used to work brilliantly and now just doesn’t. And absolutely no idea which bit to pull on first without the whole thing unravelling.

Here’s the good news: if it feels broken, it’s probably just tangled.
And tangled things can be untangled, you just need the right people helping you find the right thread.

We’ve lived every knot in this business

We’re Lois Bates Stubbs of Mavenly, and Zoe Duckworth of Positive Orange, and between us, we’ve seen this from every angle.

We both started with nothing. We both started as VAs. We’ve both built businesses from the ground up, grown teams, and ridden every rollercoaster up, down, and sideways loop that comes with it.

Somewhere along the way, we each became consultants in our own lane. And we’ve spent years since getting inside other women’s businesses, helping them work out what’s actually going on, what needs to change, and how to actually change it.

So when we started talking about doing something together, it went exactly where you’d expect: a lot of waving, grinning, and squealing at each other over Zoom.

That’s how Get Untangled was born.

An intimate Business Intensive Day
for 8 women

Thursday 15th October at a beautiful central Manchester venue

The premise is simple: diagnosis, then implementation.

How it works.

Before the day, you’ll complete a short questionnaire covering the key areas of your business, so we already understand where your knots are before you even walk through the door.

In the morning, we get underneath them, together. What’s actually going on? What’s working brilliantly? What have you outgrown? What needs to change, and perhaps most importantly, what actually matters most right now, out of everything competing for your attention?

After lunch, we stop talking about it and start doing something about it. You’ll have both of us working alongside you all afternoon. Lois looking at the business as a whole; the bigger picture, your priorities, your opportunities, what needs to happen next, and Zoe getting stuck into the systems, technology, and operations that make it all actually work.

You know the thing you’ve been meaning to sort for three months that’s still sitting there?

That’s what we’re here for.

Not to talk about it. Not to give you a framework for thinking about it. To actually get into it with you. Lois on the decisions and direction, and Zoe on the systems and tech underneath it all, until it’s done!

Two consultants. One day. Eight women. And the specific knotty thing you’ve been carrying around finally, actually, sorted.

And because this is meant to feel like a proper day away from the business and not just another workshop, there’s breakfast, lunch, drinks, and a few gorgeous goodies to see you through it, in a space that’s as nice to spend a day in as the conversation is.

The moment we’re most excited for…

It’s not the diagnosis, and it’s not even the doing.

It’s the exact moment someone finally sees the thing that’s been tangled up in her head for months and goes:

OH. That’s the problem

And then we get to help her do something about it, there and then, in the room.

Your hosts

Zoe Duckworth

Founder, Positive Orange

Zoe started out as a VA, the way most of the best consultants do, by getting stuck into other people’s businesses long before she had one worth calling her own. Years, hundreds of client projects, and one very steep learning curve later, she’s the founder of Positive Orange, a tech and ops consultancy built for neurodivergent founders and business owners who need someone who actually gets how their brain works, not just their business.

Zoe specialises in the unglamorous stuff that quietly makes or breaks a business: systems, funnels, websites, email marketing, and digital strategy, and she's spent years inside other people’s operations doing exactly what she;ll be doing at Get Untangled: spotting the gap between where someone is and where they're trying to get to, and building the bridge.

She doesn’t believe in cookie cutter fixes. Every business and every brain is wired differently, so every system she builds is too. What she does believe in is calling it like she sees it, cheering people on loudly when they need it, and never, ever letting a client talk about themselves like they’re the problem. Spoiler: it’s almost always the systems.

At Get Untangled, Zoe’s the one getting hands on with the tech, the tools, and the operations that either quietly support your business or quietly sabotage it. Helping you find the one thread that, once pulled, starts to untangle everything else.

Lois Bates Stubbs

Director, Mavenly

Lois is the founder of Mavenly, a consultancy and VA and EA agency supporting female founders to build businesses that actually work for them.

She knows a thing or two about building from the ground up. Four years ago, Lois was earning £7 an hour and living in a council flat when she started her VA business with £100 and a determination to change her family’s life. Within 18 months, she’d built a six figure business.

Since then, she’s built a team, worked inside hundreds of businesses and found herself increasingly drawn to the questions that sit underneath everything else. Why has this stopped working? What are we actually trying to achieve here? Is that really the problem, or is there something else going on?

These days, Lois works as a business consultant, helping women step back, see their businesses clearly and work out their right next move.

She doesn’t believe there’s one right way to build a business, she believes there’s a right next move for where you are now.

At Get Untangled, Lois is bringing that perspective into the room. Helping you make sense of everything competing for your attention, spot the gaps and opportunities you might not be able to see when you’re in the middle of it all, and decide what actually needs to happen next.
